Natural Medicine – Regain Your Mental and Physical Competency

“Imagine the systems of your body are constantly in conversation with each other. The holistic methodology within natural medicine aims to listen to those conversations. What’s the immune system saying to the digestive system? How are both of those systems speaking to the brain and your hormones? The initial consultation aims to answer these questions and create a treatment around the answers.” – Philip Watkins

A natural medicine treatment consists of three main pillars of therapy:

  • Herbal Medicine
  • Nutrition as Therapy
  • Diet as a prescription

These three pillars unlock the therapy we are looking for to help you go from bloated and tired to free and inspired and get your mental and physical competency back. Whilst natural medicine isn’t the best choice to treat your failing kidneys (yep, best to go to a hospital, please!), it can treat more chronic conditions such as:

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia
  • Anxiety, Sleep and Mild Depression
  • Autoimmune disorders such as Hashimoto’s Disease and Eczema
  • Acne and other skin conditions such as urticaria, hives and dermatitis.
  • Menstrual imbalances such as premenstrual and menopausal symptoms.

A mantra in functional and natural medicine is “test don’t guess.” This mantra allows natural medicine practitioners like me to isolate the real cause of the problem and focus treatment strategies on the mitigation of whichever origin presents itself rather than treating the symptoms alone.

This focused strategy allows for a complete outcome when it comes to results. Once the cause is isolated and treated, patients (that’s you!) can expect to hold their benefits for a longer time.

Testimonials

  • "Philip took his time to explain what was possibly going on. Philip also took the time to digest the results of a recent annual medical, a recent allergy test and a genetic test. This level of care and attention was highly appreciated."

  • "I finally had a diagnostic to work with. I was so happy with the lack of pain and getting sleep at night that I embarked on a 6 month protocol. It was the first time in years that I saw any relief and progress."

  • "He does not silo the physical from the mental and approaches things in a very holistic manner. I really found this invaluable as I feel a number of my complaints were not only driven by physical triggers but also emotional/mental triggers."
